Kimball believes that participation in the political process is a responsibility of every citizen and the Company as well, in order to be sure that the interests of our Company, and ultimately of our share owners, are represented in the laws and regulations which may ultimately govern our business operations.
Kimball participates in the legislative process by meeting with appropriate officials on matters of corporate interest, engaging on a limited basis in direct professional lobbying of legislators and by being an active, contributing member of various trade associations.
Kimball is very active with the Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA) and has had a representative on the IMA Board for over ten years. Kimball has also used professional lobbyists in Washington, D.C. to represent its interests on issues relating to tariffs on furniture imports from China.
