The Lancaster County Convention Center Authority (LCCCA) recently unveiled Commons on Vine, a newly redeveloped event venue at the Lancaster County Convention Center in downtown Lancaster. Created in partnership with Benjamin Roberts and Kimball International, the space offers a flexible, technology-forward environment designed to attract new clients, support a wide range of event types, and increase demand throughout the region.
A key element of the venue’s transformation is its thoughtfully curated furniture from Kimball International. The space features several products from the David Edward collection, including Anora, Entourage, and Flo, which bring together sophisticated aesthetics, exceptional comfort, and long-lasting durability. These furnishings help create an elevated hospitality-focused experience while supporting the functional needs of a modern event venue.
"Kimball International's furniture line of soft seating is a critical element in the development of the new event spaces in Commons on Vine at the Lancaster County Convention Center. The soft furniture layout addressed emerging trends of small group and side conversation needs at conferences and conventions. Kimball International's product line allowed our architect and dealer partner to create a comfortable environment that is aesthetically pleasing and functionally effective for small groups."

Flexibility was also a primary consideration in the design. Kimball International’s mobile Chaddy guest chairs support a variety of event configurations, providing comfortable seating that can easily adapt to presentations, workshops, meetings, receptions, and collaborative sessions.
Throughout the venue, a variety of furniture settings provide spaces tailored to different needs and work styles ranging from formal meetings and group discussions to casual conversations, networking opportunities, and quiet moments of individual focus. Near the entrance, welcoming lounge seating creates an inviting first impression for guests to connect, relax, or recharge between events.
By working closely with LCCCA , Kimball International helped create a space that is as functional as it is inviting. The furniture supports a variety of ways people gather, work, connect, and relax, ensuring that Commons on Vine delivers a memorable experience for every visitor.
