We pride ourselves on crafting sustainable and environmentally responsible products at every stage of their lifecycle. We support circularity concepts by focusing on reuse, repair, recycle, and remanufacturing strategies across our product design methods and manufacturing processes. Many products boast high recycled content inputs, ensuring that valuable resources are reused efficiently, and are designed to be recyclable at the end of their lifespan, minimizing waste.

GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS

Our greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction goals have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming that our targets are aligned with the latest climate science.

100% RENEWABLE ENERGY

To better support HNI’s RE100 pledge, we have fully transitioned to renewable energy by sourcing 100% of our electricity through Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).

ZERO WASTE

Our Zero Waste certification reflects our commitment to sustainability and the well-being of our members and communities.

ecoChecker

Kimball International’s ecoChecker tool is a digital database where you can explore our brands and portfolio of products to easily find, compare, and evaluate a wide range of environmental and social criteria. This product portal, powered by ecomedes, provides verified, 3rd party certification and scientific data points that can fuel ESG disclosures, LEED credits, and a growing number of enterprise declarations. The recycled content, certifications, and more are available for each product series. ecoChecker can help with calculations and documentation, making it easy to evaluate how Kimball International furniture can contribute to sustainability efforts.
