“We wanted to create a system that would function across the entire office and resolve all these different micro-environments. So, we started slicing and dicing up what those functions and aesthetic opportunities were. We decided to create a base unit and then start stacking or adding on functional layers like bookcases that divide space, units that would house media displays, and so on. We were designing not only for function and applications, but we were very mindful of aesthetics and features that would evoke an emotional response in users. We all spend so much time at work, that when we’re there we want to be inspired and happy and productive.”
Principal, Lynda Chesser, brings an interior designer’s perspective to furniture solutions created by CSD Studio. She believes good design can inspire people to live, work and learn better.
Bill Schacht, Principal, and Chad Zimmerman, Design Director, complete the CSD team, bringing their industrial design talents and manufacturing knowledge to each product design. Their industrial design expertise combines with Lynda’s interiors viewpoint creating relevant and adaptable furniture solutions for manufacture.
