A&D Spotlight: DLR Group Presents Embracing Modesty in Healthcare

On May 21, Kimball International hosted Dom Lio, Senior Healthcare Leader, and Dehne Sibbernsen, Senior Interior Designer, of DLR Group for a virtual presentation focused on the evolving role of modesty in healthcare design. Through a series of case studies and open discussions, the presentation explored modesty through scope, expression, process and delivery, and scale.
The session highlighted a growing shift in healthcare environments toward clarity, efficiency, and human-centered experiences. From intentional material selections and streamlined workflows to adaptable space planning strategies, attendees gained insight into how working within constraints can inspire creativity and deliver unexpected value.
