The Institute for Clinical Economic Review (ICER) transparently reviews health treatments to help Americans gain sustainable access to high-value healthcare. Their work generates movement toward fair pricing and access to treatments for all. To accommodate a growing workforce, ICER moved to a new 14,000 square foot office space. Located in a beautiful landmark building at the center of Beacon Hill in Boston, the neighborhood is known for its old charm embodied through its federal style rowhouses, narrow gaslit streets, and brick sidewalks. Kimball International’s family of brands was chosen to furnish the space because of the breadth of the brand portfolios and the ability to coordinate finishes.

Partnering with Environments at Work (EAW) and their installation partner, IOP, ICER worked to meet building delivery conditions, which included careful consideration of furniture size and weight to withstand the constraints of the building elevator and stairwell. When some of these parameters couldn’t be met, the products were carefully disassembled and rebuilt on the tenant floor. The resulting space accommodates 65 employees with bench-style and conventional workstations, 17 private offices, conference rooms, collaboration areas, and a phone booth for individual privacy.
