The Thyen-Clark Cultural Center is a multi-faceted, community-centered facility that houses a variety of spaces. After nearly a decade of planning, the Center offers areas dedicated to viewing art, meeting, learning, and gathering. The grand Atrium, outfitted with coves for visiting or reading, makes a statement and welcomes guests. From that airy, sunlight-filled hub, guests can choose to visit three art galleries, meeting spaces, office areas, and artisan workshop classrooms, in addition to the new Jasper-Dubois County Public Library.

The Thyen-Clark Cultural Center and the Jasper-Dubois County Public Library chose Kimball International products to outfit the majority of their 67,000 square foot superstructure. Located in Jasper, IN, near the downtown riverfront, the facility partnered with the Kimball, National, and Etc. brands of Kimball International, headquartered in Jasper, to honor the town’s heritage. Furniture and woodworking industries are a vital component in Jasper’s history, industrial success, and employment, so the furniture selection committee had a strong desire to engage local furniture manufacturers to showcase their products.

"The Kimball International team provided a new perspective for everyone of what the expectations for a 21st Century facility can and should be."

Offering styles that range from traditional, highback, rich leather seating to nooks designed for teen readers that feature bold colored bean bags and mobile ottomans, the Center showcases the Kimball International brands exquisitely. The modern classrooms and meeting spaces utilize flip/nest seating and tables to accommodate varying needs and fluctuating quantities of guests. The common area in the Library showcases a myriad of lounge solutions, study spaces, and workstations that allow guests to independently study or read and gather collectively to work on projects or socialize.
